A few MIAGE students at a program event in January
Welcome to the University of Utah's Master of Science in International Affairs & Global Enterprise Degree Website!
MIAGE was approved by the Utah State Board of Regents in 2007 in response to the global economy's need for globally sensitive administrators and employees. Our program equips its graduates with the ability to take on the complex global issues attendant to many of today's public and private sector entities.
Administered through the University of Utah's College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, MIAGE seeks applicants who desire to complement the knowledge they obtained during their undergraduate studies with a deeper understanding of global businesses and non-profits and the legal, political, cultural and economic contexts in which these exist.
The MIAGE curriculum combines international management studies and international law with socio-cultural and economic knowlege to give students the backgrounds necessary to fill jobs in a world where boundaries and datelines are no longer barriers to business--and where an education in international affairs enhances opportunities and experiences.
MIAGE is a 12 course, 36 semester hour degree. (Full time students can complete the program in about 18 months. Part time students can take up to four years to complete the degree.) In addition to six core courses, students take six elective courses, according to their career interests, from eight graduate programs: Law, Anthropology, Economics, Geography, Management, Marketing, Political Science and Public Administration.
