Welcome to the University of Utah's Master of Science in International Affairs & Global Enterprise Degree Website!

Whether they're government agencies, nonprofit organizations or for-profit entities, international organizations hire individuals who've been trained to take on complex global issues. The MIAGE degree (Master of Science in International Affairs & Global Enterprise) at the University of Utah trains globally sensitive administrators and employees.

The degree is a 36 credit hour degree program. The curriculum is divided into six core courses and six electives. Students will also complete an independent research project and a comprehensive exam. A thesis or an international internship may be substituted for the comprehensive exam. It is possible to finish your degree in as little as 18 months.

The core curriculum includes:

  • International Management
  • Multinational Firms: International Trade and Investment
  • International Relations
  • Methods of Social Research
  • Law course- selected options from Law School
  • Foundations of International Affairs and Global Enterprise

Elective Courses

Students also choose 6 elective courses from Law, Anthropology, Economics, Geography, Management, Marketing, Political Science (including Public Administration), and Sociology.

MIAGE seeks applicants who desire to complement the knowledge they obtained during their undergraduate studies with a deeper understanding of global enterprises and the legal, political, cultural and socio-economic contexts in which these organizations exist.

We hope the website will be useful to you, but we also welcome your questions - please contact us at 801-585-7722 or send us an email for more information.
